Goa airport’s false ceiling breaks down

Two people were injured when a false ceiling at Goa’s Dabolim airport fell in the security holding area. [source: ToI]

The Good

  • The staff members at the Goa airport immediately rushed to the site where the ceiling fell and gave them the required first aid help.
  • In spite of these ‘quality’ issues, it is at least good to have a bigger airport in Goa (compared to the the small congested one that it had till a year ago).

The Bad

  • Someone could have been injured very badly
  • Incidences such as these from a newly built airport dent the image of Goa

If I am not mistaken, the new Goa terminal was also constructed by CCCL (my previous company). The Chennai Airport terminal also had a similar incident some time back, constructed again by CCCL.
